Audit and Research

In order to update RNG members on the work that is being done by other renal dietitians and relevant specialists throughout the country we have developed a website which will provide the following information:

• Audit and research carried out (the abstract will be available)
• Resources available (diet sheets in other languages, cookery books, learning tools for patients and staff etc)
• Special interests within the renal field
• Willingness to give talks on particular areas.

It will be possible to search the site for a particular topic e.g phosphate education. The details of audits or research carried out in this areas – by UK dietitians, the resources available (diet sheets, teaching aids etc) and the dietitians with a particular interest in this area, will be available.

Hopefully this site will be a useful starting point for renal professionals wanting to perhaps carry out their own audit / research or develop their own teaching information. As a lot of this information isn’t published elsewhere, it may mean there is less time spent ‘re-inventing wheels’ and may encourage interdisciplinary and multi-centre projects.
